Conference Room Sign
The Request
Stantec, a local engineering firm, requested a new conference room sign to match the existing design in their lobby. While they initially asked about 3D printing, I recognized that their current signage was high-quality cut acrylic. To ensure the sign would match, I quoted the project using laser-cut acrylic instead of a 3D print.

Logo to Vector
To start I converted the existing logo into a vector format to use in the laser cutting process and then scaled to the specified dimensions.

Laser Cutting
Using a CO2 laser cutter, I cut the sign out of 1/4 inch white acrylic. Even with a 60W laser the process was slow but produced a high-quality finish.

Final Cuts
When I scaled the logo to match the client's requested dimensions, the letters ended up being 1/4 inch smaller than the original sign. I was able to cut the letters in both sizes so the client could choose which they preferred. I also provided the offcuts to use as a template for mounting the letters.

Finished Installation
The sign came out beautifully and I was able to deliver it only a week after the initial request.
