Designing the Duck
I watched a few how-to-draw-a-duck tutorials and sketched this design myself. I added filled color vectors just to explore the tool, which is not required for laser cutting but was a fun experiment. Once happy with the look, I flattened the design and adjusted the layers to export the SVGs needed for the cutter.
Laser Cutter Setup and Cutting
I sent the files to the laser cutter and set the parameters for both the engrave markings and the through-cuts. The wing detail got its own layer so it would cut before the outer profile, keeping everything aligned. Then I watched the machine do its thing.
Assembly and Finished Duck
